Why me and my camera? It’s quite simple: It helps me never forget: We are never alone. Never. Sometimes we just need to take a deeper look at life around us. I know, it is extremely easy to feel like you are isolated in this world. People can suck sometimes which can bring you down. But, the truths of the matter are: We all need each other! And: We all feel the same things along our journeys! It is far too easy to forget that; and even easier to let others’ words and actions hurt us.
How to cope? I was told I needed to find something that is mine and mine alone. Something that is positive and brings me joy. Let the passion for this activity motivate me. What did I find? A camera.
That is what photography does for me. No matter if I am in a low mood, a bad mood, or feeling on top of the world, I find that spending time with myself and with my camera a true joy. It’s just me going click happy on a flower, or a bee, or a waterfall. And when I go to edit the pictures, I always find at least one thing I missed in the actual moment. These missed treasures are the things in life that show me I am not alone. There is so much to see, to learn, to experience, and to SHARE that I feel rejuvenated to face the world again.
I share this with you in hopes that you can find some hidden treasures of your own within my work. Something that motivates, or inspires you to just want to share your findings with someone. It is my dream my pictures to bring us together and to connect when it is so easy to these days to disengage and get lost in superficial activities which tend to zap us of our sense of self. Let’s discover this world together. Let’s capture the moments in time that define us so we can share them with each other. This is what I’d like this blog to do, along with my work.
I hope you join me on the journey.
